One crucial facet of the Project involves focused education and training initiatives, aimed at enhancing knowledge of the Veterans Home of California, helping businesses identify valuable resources, and providing the right opportunities to help small businesses grow and thrive.
Industry experts lead the professional development and technical assistance courses, held in Fresno. The free workshops delve into a variety of topics that provide real world knowledge and insight to gain that competitive edge.
Some of the upcoming focused topics will include bonding and insurance, and the DGS Owner Controlled Insurance Program. Future workshops will also provide technical assistance, including Capacity Building. Capacity Building is a comprehensive effort to provide small businesses with the assistance needed to increase their business management skills, long-term viability and success on public projects.
